Budget.go.ug is committed to giving Ugandan citizens access to timely and accurate budget information, and real opportunities to participate in government budget processes.   

You can learn about the Budget process on the Budget Basics pages. You can access and download budget and expenditure data through the Budget Dashboard.  You can access published government documents through the Budget Library.

A brief background on how the Local Governments don prepare their Budget. 1- LGs first develop their District Development Plans based on the Budget Call circular the Ministry of finance issued to all LGs considering the Numbers therein. 2-The Budget Call Circular presents the plans that are aligned to the National Development Plan of which the LGs must budget and comply with accordingly, in this case (NDP111)

When does a national budget begin in Uganda?

The budget for financial year usually starts in July after then Minister of Finance has presented it to the Public and Parliament in Previous Month of June.

Usually the FY begins on 1st July after the reading of the national Budget speech.which is the national budget in Uganda and more so East African countries have the some Calendar year
